This unit covered how to teach productive skills; speaking and writing. These are both used to communicate; I learned that writing is the most neglected skills which was a surprise to me because I thought it would be one of the main techniques to learn. Other information that I took from this unit was that teaching writing is extremely difficult especially if the students have never used any of the American alphabet. Accuracy and fluency are equally important so we shouldn't teach one more than the other.
