This unit made me think about the differences between verbal language and written language. I came away recognizing that written language is more difficult to master. Verbally, one needs to master vocabulary, grammar and develop an understanding of appropriate language use but in writing you have not only these areas to master but one also has to deal with punctuation, spelling, and actual letter formulation. Patience and time, on the part of students, are definitely requirements to achieve success in written language.
