In this unit, the eight parts of speech which include Nouns, Pronouns, Adjectives, Verbs, Adverbs, Prepositions, Articles and Conjunctions were discussed. I was taught how to properly understand and break down the words in a sentence into these parts of speech. From my personal point of view, I found this particular unit a little bit confusing. As I was going through each part of speech carefully using everyday sentences as examples, I realized how people including myself, misuse words in the sentences that we make every day. I was taught all of this as a child, but I understand it more now and this will definitely help me improve how I use the English language from now on.
