This subject focused on the reasoning behind many grammatical choices, and highlighted why certain grammatical objects are used in different sentences. As a native English speaker, there are many aspects of grammar that have never been fully explained, and I learned a great deal from this unit. It was particularly helpful to see which grammar subjects are often difficult for students to understand and for teachers to explain, and forced me to begin thinking about how I would simplify explaining these subjects to someone who hasn't yet grasped the intricacies of english grammar.
