I have learnt alot on this topic.A lesson has three stages that is engage, study and activate. Each stage has different activities all geared towards making the lesson a success and helping the student understand the lesson. I have also learnt different teaching methods and techniques and the best for me is the community language learning. Correction should not be immediate and it is as important as praising the student.
