I still messed up with the way of ESA lesson aimed at improving the students' writing skills. I don't understand the difference between a STUDY and an ACTIVATE phases in this situation.
I think "Allow students to create their own fairy story in groups, present to the class and give feedback" and "Using picture prompts students create a short fairy story" can both be an ACTIVATE phase. So I am not sure about material absorption.
