This was a very challenging unit for me. I learnt alot about the methodologies and theories involved in teaching and learning a language. There are many different ways of learning a language such as through immersion. Languages may be taught using several different methods some of which may not be suitable for all levels of students. The most effective method would be the ESA as it encompasses all the theories and methods from the 17th century to present to create a more realistic approach to language teaching and learning.
