This unit is about equipment and teaching aids. There is a vast and varied range of equipment, teaching aids and resources available to be used. The focus of this equipment, aids and resource material should be to make the learning more interesting and effective and also to discourage teacher reliance on textbooks. Choosing what will be used in a lesson should be determined by the topic and the nature of the learning; the particular equipment, aid or resource should be fit for the purpose and enhance the learning. Timely learning for me from thus unit has been the reminder of the wide range of resources available and to avoid becoming too reliant on a narrow selection of equipment or resources.
