Planning a lesson will do several things for the teacher; 1. ensure that he/ she is prepared for the lesson, 2. Have all content covered to be taught in that particular lesson, 3. The teacher will have a prompt to go back to during the course of the lesson, 4. Be able to effectively plan the lesson to suit the needs of the students as well as to cover the content needed.
