This unit we learned about past tense. Similar to present tense, the word before the verb or action is an indicator of when the event took place, to what extent and whether or not the action is still happening. Past continuous means the action was interrupted but ongoing, past perfect means the action already took place but is being referred to as though it was happening (with had) and the past perfect continuous shows the relationship between two ideas that are past perfect and past continuous.
