This unit was extremely helpful in laying the foundational concepts of teachers and learners. It made me think through and attain an appreciation of the qualities of a good teacher, and how learners learn. It helps one to focus on the needs and challenges for learners and the effect on learning of things like age, culture, experience and circumstances. I consider this unit and its content an essential platform in order to progress through the course. Understanding how and why people learn best is crucial to us obtaining good results.
