In this unit I was introduced to different teaching methods and benefits and drawbacks of each. I also learned about the different stages of a successful lesson, how to maximize learning in each stage, and how these stages can be mixed and matched into a lesson tailored to the needs and skill levels of the students. It was particularly helpful to see examples of activities for each stage and how different activities can complement each other based on the subject matter being taught. One of the most valuable things I feel I got from this unit was the differentiation between mistakes and errors, and the most beneficial ways these can be corrected without hindering learning.
