I learned a lot about how to note the four different versions of past tenses. I also learned that there are regular and irregular versions of past simple verbs. There are similar usages and functionalities between Past and Present tenses, if you look at it closely. The unit also gives you little keys into how to see what tense the sentence is. Like, with Past Perfect using the work 'had' a lot of the time and how that can clue the reader into what tense the sentence will be.
