This unit describes the four main present tenses used in the English language: present simple, present perfect, present continuous, and present perfect continuous and provides examples for how each are used. This unit also taught me how each of these tenses are used in the positive, negative, and question form. It was also interesting to learn about some of the more common errors made when using each of these tenses and to consider why these may have occurred and how these may best be corrected. It was also good to learn that the tenses in the English language are much different than in many other languages and that Asian languages generally contain only one tense.
