In this unit, I got familiar with some methods and techniques such as Grammar-translation, audio-lingualism, Presentaition-Practice and Production, Task based learning, Communicative Language Teaching, Community Language Learning, The Silent Way, Suggestopedia, The Lexical approach, and ESA. While I was reading through the methods and techniques, I realized that all of them have some positive and negative sides. Furthermore, some of them are suitable only for some certain age groups, As a candidate teacher, I comprehended that I must choose the methods and techniques according to the age groups, classroom dynamics, institutions` and parents` expectations from the teacher, schools approach to discipline. To sum up, there is no perfect method. We can choose the best and useful sides from a bunch of methods and techniques.
