The unit covered conditionals and reported speech. First the five main conditionals were presented, that is zero conditional, first conditional, second conditional, third conditional, and mixed conditional. This presentation was followed by a description of typical errors and by teaching ideas. The second part of the unit discussed reported speech, first introducing the concept, then showing how verb tenses, pronouns and time expressions change from direct to indirect speech. Finally teaching ideas were given for teaching reported speech. I found this unit interesting as I don't remember having read that there are five main conditionals, but rather just present and past conditional. This was a very clear overview of the conditional and there were some good teaching ideas. The reported speech part also provided a great overview for the teaching of this topic.
