Creating a lesson plan is vital for unexperienced teachers, not only because it is easier with advance preparation, but it prepares the teacher for the day or class. When planning a lesson you are already creating some scenarios in your head of all the possible outcomes, how the students might react, will it be interesting or will it take too much time to finish etc. so in a way, the teacher is also prepared to face some difficulties that my occur during the class and have thought of a solution while preparing the lesson, and is equipped to change or alter some phases of the discussion if needed.
