I enjoyed this unit immensely. It was great to focus on the deeper aspects of communication. Using the pieces that earlier chapters have put in place for ESA was also enjoyable to read. In particular the last paragraph on the first page made me realize something about myself. In the past I was not one to speak openly to others without purpose, so it made learning different languages difficult. Now I think I know the way to remove that mindset. I can observe this same tendency within students and work to correct this as this weakness can greatly cripple one's ability to comprehend and speak another language.
