This unit describes the different ways to test and evaluate a student's skill. There are 3 main ways to assess a student's language level : Tutorials, Evaluation by the students and Tests. There are also different reasons as to why a student's level is tested : check on the student's needs and desire to acquire new language/on the effectiveness of our lesson, check on the progress made by the student, help prepare the lessons and future materials based on the areas to improve.... This unit allows new teachers to understand how can a good assessment improve greatly the quality of the lesson and future lessons.
