In this unit, I learned all about teaching the productive skills of speaking and writing. Writing is a skill which requires a greater degree of accuracy, whereas speaking requires a greater degree of fluency as the speaker will rarely have time to think and plan an answer. Accuracy activities are there to ensure the correct reproduction of the language while fluency activities allow students to experiment and be creative with the language. Both are equally important.
