While a lot of the information presented in this unit coincides with my experiences as a lifelong learner, I had never seen it broken down so clearly. The different roles of a teacher make sense, but I had never considered it too deeply before. With this information I can reflect upon teachers I've had in the past in a new light. Having a clear sense of the different teaching roles and qualities of both teachers and learners will have a positive influence on both my teaching and learning in the future. Having a good idea of the differences between adult learners and young learners will also be very helpful in knowing what to expect.
