From this unit I learned the importance of proper lesson planning and examples of how to do it effectively. I always believed that planning lessons would be a good idea to help prevent situations where the teacher isn't sure what to do next or runs out of material for the class session, but I never considered the other benefits such as keeping a record of what was taught when or recording goals. I think the lesson plan format presented in this unit is very helpful, and I will likely use it until I become experienced enough to make my own form of plan.
