In this unit, I learned about how to approach teaching new vocabulary to students in a way that will make new words meaningful to them. I should teach vocabulary that will be most commonly used in English; words that are essential for “surviving”. The lessons need to allow students to know the meanings, spelling, usage, and pronunciation of the words so they can use them in real life. Any of the three ESA techniques will help me develop their vocabulary skills.
