As a native English speaker, I rarely consider the grammatically inner workings of the language. It was interesting to see all the individual pieces that make up a grammatically correct English sentence. It reminds me again how complicated English grammar can be. It certainly made me consider effective teachings strategies for teaching non-native English speakers these grammar rules. Even a word as simple as the is used in a multitude of different ways in the English language and I could see how those intricacies can be confusing.
