This unit discussed many of the different types of test students need to take during their journey to English fluency. A diagnostic test is a test that will be given to a student at the start of a course to determine where they are in their language skills and what kind of material needs to be taught going forward. Placement tests are similar in that they will determine what class levels the students can handle. There are many external exams for different purposes and students in different situations that language schools can prepare them for using practice tests.
