Unit 9 was a fine overview of lesson planning and served as a nice refresher for me. By first explaining the reasons why we plan lessons, the unit established their relevance and importance. General principles along with specific things to include while organizing and writing down lessons followed. Next, the unit showed a sample lesson plan using the Straight Arrow ESA format and a blank plan grid for teacher use. Monitoring lessons with a self evaluation form, planning a sequence of lessons and some sample activity sheets rounded out this unit.
