The present perfect form is one that is confusing at times even for native English speakers. I understand it but it can get complicated explaining it to non-native English speakers. This tense connects the past to the present; I have never really thought of this simple way of thinking about it. This is something I have learned from this unit. There are so many activities that can be used to teach this tense to students that can make it more real-life than just teaching it from a book. The tenses need to be experienced in ways that the students can connect to it and absorb them all.
