The simplest form of a structure is the basic sentence. In it must consist of at least one subject and verb but usually always contains more words. Therefore each word in a sentence can be classified. There will usually be a definite article (the, an, a), adjective(s), noun(s), prepositions & conjunctions (linking & combining). There are numerous forms and rules to each of them. Also noting that verbs have a number of rules too and come in different forms, base form, past simple, past participle, and present participle. Auxillary verbs help form a tenses. Adverbs in general add meaning or information to the action. There are different types of pronouns, personal and possible and their form change depends on the object and subject. Prepositions link and show the relationship between a pronoun or noun and another word in the sentence. Sentences can get intricate but at a fundamental level each word can be broken down and support the other words in the sentence.
