This section taught me how to appropriately choose content and methods of teaching for specific groups of students. The ease or difficulty of a vocabulary or other grammatical item depends on its similarity to a students' own language or other already-known English words, its spelling and pronunciation, and its appropriacy. Therefore, the content you choose for a specific lesson must depend on these 4 things. I also learned how to structure different types of lessons using the ESA teaching framework for vocabulary teaching, grammatical structures, and language functions.
