Unit 15 is concerned with evaluation and testing. Both components serve an essential function as they help the teacher and student understand how much of the subject matter they know and do not know. Also, both evaluation and testing help to gauge whether or not a course is meeting the educational needs of the students. If a course is too simplistic, then it may not challenge the students. Alternatively, if a course is too complicated, the students may not gain the knowledge they set out to retain. Finally, evaluation and testing are both great ways to determine the student's progression and the course's effectiveness.
