This unit gave me a general overview of different kinds of tests that can and should be used before and during the course in order to identify the level of the students and check their progress. Each kind of tests has its own specifics, but they all should include a balance of all four skills ( listening, reading, writing and speaking). Tests ( especially progress tests) are a chance not only for the teacher to see what knowledge students acquired during a cetrain period of time, but also a good oppotunity for the students to review and revise.
