The brief content of this unit is that it is about conditionals and reported speech. Conditionals are basically used to express some facts and some hypothetical conditions. The five main conditionals are follows Zero conditional uses to express an action and fact. e.g. If u eat too much, you put on weight. First conditional talks about "real" situation. e.g. If it rains tomorrow,i will stay at home. Second conditional describes about present or future unreal situatio. e.g. If i were you, i would stop smoking. Third conditional refers to a hypothetical past. e.g. If i'd had enough money,i would have travelled the world. Mixed conditional describes about past action or state and the hypothetical present consequence. e.g. If i had studied medicine, i would be a doctor. The second part of the unit describes about reported speech. The part of a direct speech sentence enclosed within inverted commas is called reported speech. The tense of direct speech usually changes into reported speech. Present simple changes into past simple. Present continuous changes into past continuous Present perfect changes into past perfect Present perfect continuous changes into past perfect continuous Past simple into past perfect Past continuous into past perfect continuous past perfect remains the same Past perfect continuous remains the same Will canges into would To learn all these rules are important to make your narration effective.
