Writing is going to be difficult to teach to students of different levels. In the high schools or primary where the kids are roughly the same level it is easier as they learned from English 1. The adult classes are usually a mixed bag of people who, at least in Argentina, were professionals of some sort before they retired. They often travel so some have a good grasp of English while others are beginners. But all seem to have trouble writing. Just as I have trouble writing in Spanish.
