This unit explained how to teach listening and writing skills and outlined possible pitfalls that may occur for students. It also provided an example of how a teacher might teach a class focused on promoting one of these skills. I found the ideas given for generating interest in a topic especially helpful. As someone who doesn't need a lot of motivation to explore new ideas, finding ways to make students want to learn could prove challenging to me. Using songs or film clips to generate interest in a broader topic seems like a great idea.
