I have learned there are a variety of teaching aids other then course books and worksheets. That usage visual and audio aids and greatly assist with a variety of classroom activities but also help produce more material that students can use. For example with a video you can split the class into pairs, with each person facing away from each other, one watches the video while describing to their partner what is going on. using any of these tools help to keep a student engaged and motivated. In addition i know there are many resources online that will provide a teacher with poems, publications, news articles to worksheet ideas.
