A teacher is a manager, and students can be perceive as employees. Therefore, different students will have internal and external conflict which maybe academic/non-academic related and therefore can lead to behavioural problem within the classroom. The teacher as a good manager need to be wise and use different class management skills to encourage positive behaviour. The teacher should try to have a good knowledge of which class management strategy that is most effective for the class; following school policies and that which is culturally acceptable. The teacher should choose the classroom management style/styles that is used, is given fairly and should provide a means of improving the students behaviour as well as their academic growth. Unit 5 has taught me that classroom management will have a positive impact on students' behaviour once the teacher uses idea such as, Teacher Talk Time and Student Talk Time, giving individual attention, position of the teacher during lesson, classroom arrangement and delivering of the lesson using different techniques. Classroom management become an easy task once the teacher as the pivotal person in the classroom reduces the impact by been enthusiastic about his/her lesson, encourage students, act immediately on any negative behaviour to have a high self esteem, show respect to them and relate to students as someone who is a friend that want students to grow academically and otherwise.
