This unit involved watching two English lessons that were taught and evaluating and thinking about them in regard to what has been covered in the course so far. It was helpful to get an idea of some of the concepts in action. Reading information is helpful, but seeing it allows one to imagine and visualize how one can do the same in the future. Furthermore, one can learn from another person's weaknesses in teaching. One key piece which I felt in relation to my own teaching is making sure that the students are talking as much as possible. In the context where I work, neighboring schools teach students using traditional rote and oral response. However, to learn a language, a student needs to put-it into action.
