Unit 14 deals with course books and lesson materials. When it comes to studying English there are two types of materials: authentic and created materials. The teacher has to be able to incorporate authentic materials that are suitable for EFL learners. Course books, on the other hand, have many pros and cons associated with them. The teacher must not solely rely on course books for teaching. The teacher must be prepared to omit, supplement, replace, and adapt the materials when using a course book in class.
