The unit gives a good insight into the effectiveness of a well-managed lesson and how an ineffective lesson can easily descend into confusion and disinterest and completely lose the aims the teacher intended for the class. The lesson showed the value being calm and in control for the benefit of the students, even though some lessons might not go as intended. The two videos show how students react to well-managed classes and poorly managed classes. Also, the unit shows how good or badly managed classes can affect the teacher, a well-run class can also give the teacher confidence, whereas badly run classes could be draining for the teacher.
