In this chapter we studied the verb tenses and their corresponding usage and form in an affirmative statement, a negation and a question. The present simple is used to state fact, routine, publicize, give instruction and to Tell a story. The present continuous is used to talk about an action in progress, to refer to a temporary action no longer in progress, to provide background information of a present story etc.
