This unit covered Nouns and the specific types including; Common, Proper, Compound, Abstract, and Collective, Countable and Uncountable. It discussed Adjectives and its specific types such as Comparative, Superlative and Possessive. The specific articles were observed including Definite and Indefinite ones. The unit went into discussing Verbs and its differing types such as Transitive, Intransitive and Infinitive. It went into more detail in the verb section going over verb forms including the base, past simple, past participle, present participle and irregular forms. Auxiliary and adverbs were covered in this unit as well as the main types of adverbs relating to Manner, Place, Time, Degree, Frequency, Comment/Attitude, Linking, Viewpoint and Adding/Limiting. Gerunds and their usage in sentences were elaborated upon. Pronouns and their specific types including Personal, Possessive, Reflexive and Relative were included in the unit content. Finally the unit concluded with discussions of Prepositions (and their types: Time/date, Movement and Place/position) and Conjunctions and their functions joining like words and clauses of sentences. I feel as though I have successfully learned and committed to memory the rudimentary parts of English speech as well as some of the intricacies of their context and usage in speech. I feel due to what I have learned I am better equipped to reteach this information to English language learners.
