This unit continues the tense system with particular focus on the past tense. It analyses the four different past tenses; past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous. Each of this past tenses are used in their unique situations thus the unit analyses the form(affirmative, negative and question) each takes with an analyses of some regular and irregular verb forms. This unit also analyses the different situations in which it is appropriate to use these tenses. It also analyses errors student frequently make when using these tenses and gives suggestion of activities to undertake that encourage the proper mastery and thus use of the tenses.
