Since there are so many different tenses and ideas that can be used with future meanings, the future is one the most complex areas for most students learning English as a foreign language. I think one of the most effective ways that can be helpful for students is to write prompts that focus specifically on a single tense. Using prompts that are tense specific by making them relate to the students culture/background, and comparing the way different tenses affect the meaning of an answer, allows students to understand why each tense is most often used.
