This unit focused on the different roles of the teacher as well as the qualities of a good teacher and a good learner. The unit gave me insight as to which roles you can portray as an instructor as well as when to portray a certain role and which roles offer the best results for students learning. I also learned about how different cultures may prefer different styles of teaching and learning as well as the different levels of English capability that a learner may possess when taking a course as well as the many different reasons why learners are motivated to take a course in the English language and why some learners based on age, ability, culture, or other reasons may be more or less motivated to learn the language.
