This unit looks at the various forms of conditionals and reported speech. While conditionals are a part of my everyday speech, I was not aware that there were different kinds of conditional speech. Similarly, I did not know of the rules of reported speech that were listed in this unit. From my experience, I rarely hear people follow the rules for reported speech exactly as listed; we usually work around the grammar and state things in simpler terms, either by using a different grammatical structure or by ignoring the rules completely. As such, this unit will require extra work on my part as I learn rules that, up to this point, I have never considered or thought much of.
