This unit provides a guide as to how to structure a class with regard to the students; arranging seating based on the intended activities, maintaining high student participation without losing focus on the lesson, and building a respect between the student and teacher. Methods will have to be adapted depending on the environment, and teachers will need to ensure that their methods involve some level of engagement with every student, regardless of their proficiency. Discipline is hardly an exact science, and teachers should first examine their own material to determine whether they can do more to engage the students.
