This unit looks at different ways of expressing future events, both using the different future tenses and using certain present tenses. The difficulty for me with this chapter lies in how little attention I, as a native English speaker, have given to the various forms of expressing future events; usually, I tend to resort to using the present tenses to express future events, rather than defaulting to using one of the future tenses. This means that I need to consider more carefully what tenses I use when, then see if I can find easy ways of explaining how to incorporate these different tenses into conversational English without bogging my students down in the many different tenses.
