This unit lays out the most general information for a teacher- the roles you will perform in the classroom, the types of students you will teach, and the general goals for each type of student. It describes the personal qualities needed for a successful teacher, but these are qualities of character, and will need to be developed through work and experience in the field. A general strategy is to observe the students, identify their needs, then react by performing the role to best fulfill those needs without creating an uncomfortable disruption in the set lesson plan.
