I have learned the phonetic alphabet. It seemed intimidating but once broken down it is understandable and an extremely useful tool to help with the correct pronunciation of words. I have also learned that intonation even with the same sentences can produce different outcomes depending on the res and fall, fall and rise, or flat tone of how it is spoken. I understand that when explaining phonetics, diagrams, alphabets, and pictures combined with activities and games will be effective helping a student understand.
