This unit was covering Vocabulary, Grammar and Functions. Going through the 4 things students need to know to do with a new language; what they are and how to apply them in the classroom.
The unit went over selecting vocabulary and what students need to know about the item and techniques to teach. Next it covered techniques for presenting and practicing language structures with an ESA lesson plan, then went on to how to teach the language functions - again with another ESA 'function' lesson.
I like reading the ESA methods, learning and thinking about my own ways to approach them as well as engaging tasks I can give students to understand the subject.
